Learn to Row Information

Classes are small and taught by experienced adult rowers. They will explain and demonstrate the fundamentals of rowing technique and guide you through the basic boat handling skills and safety rules.
The rowing program will cover everything you will need to learn to be able to competently join a crew.

A class consists of six, 2 hour lessons over a two week period. With a maximum of 7 people per class. These fill up fast! Cost is $150 for the course.

This course is aimed at participants aged 18 and above.

Sweep (1 oar) classes available this year! Join the club afterwards at a discounted rate and learn to scull (2 oars) for free with our club coach!

2015 Learn to Row Dates

Weekday evening sessions will be from 5:45pm until 8pm. Saturday and Sunday morning at 8am until 10am.

Sweep (1 oar) rowing sessions are:

Session A. May 11-23 (Mon, Wed, Sat)
Session B: June 2-13 (Tues, Thurs, Sat)
Session C: July 6-18 (Mon, Wed, Sat)
Session D: July 21-Aug 1 (Tues, Thurs, Sat)
Session E: Aug 3-15 (Mon, Wed, Sat)
Session F: Aug 18-29 (Tues, Thurs, Sat)

Make up classes will be scheduled in the event of poor weather or river conditions.
